Proper computer maintenance is first of all a necessary necessity so that the computer, whether desktop or laptop, functions as it did when it was purchased, quickly and without any problems in operation. Problems can occur both at the hardware and at the software level. Irregular cleaning of the computer case, as well as irregular replacement of paste on the central or graphics processor, can lead to overheating of hardware components and potentially hardware failures, and work on the computer itself becomes very slow or impossible. At the software level, the palette of problems is very wide, starting from poorly installed OS, drivers, various malware software, various incompatibilities of software with hardware, etc.
Another thing that is often overlooked is a regular backup so that the computer can be easily restored to its previous operating state. This is done not only to save important data but also to condition the computer itself. It often happens that several people have access to one computer, and then the possibility of a problem arising is much greater, and that's what happens, simply because a person makes a mistake. That's why the machine never fails, modern backup programs have the option of daily, weekly, monthly or manually set backup times. When a person forgets to do a backup, the machine certainly won't, ie. the software will do the work when the computer resources are free usually during the night when no one is using it. If a problem occurs, backup easily solves the problem and restores the computer to the previous setting before the problem escalated. Without a backup, everything is much more complicated and often everything cannot be repaired and brought back to the previous state, no matter how much effort and knowledge is invested, so every recommendation for a regular backup of data either to disks or the cloud.
